Phoenix Adoption
Member David Knudsen adopted Phoenix from Jessica this past week. When we first rescued Phoenix he weighed 61 grams and is now 147 grams AMAZING! Thank you David!

Tortoise Rescue

Blue Tongue Skink Update 10/17/11
If you have been following our page then you know we rescued a Blue Tongue Skink a few weeks ago. Jessica has been working her magic and Phoenix is starting to look more like a normal skink. He has just shed and is looking soooo beautiful and he is able to keep his eyes open most of the time now! All the big scabs around his mouth are gone and he is starting to get some weight on him. It makes Jessica sooooo happy to see him living a better life. She took him outside as you can see in the pictures and he got to slink around through some grass and got to feel like a true skink. He’s very friendly, and lets Jessica do anything to him. She is still working on getting shed off of his feet and he is also on his antibiotics, eye meds, and liquid calcium. What an improvement!

Blue Tongue Skink Rescue
A few days ago someone dropped off a blue tongue skink and it didn’t look so good to say the least. Matt wasn’t sure it was going to make it but we took it to Dr. Connelly. It stayed over night and Jessica picked Little Blue (that it’s nickname for now) up the next day. She has been working with Little Blue for the past few days and the progress is extraordinary! We will keep you updated over the next few weeks
